Is there a place for women in Construction Industry and therefore FM? Has the industry evolved to a level where transformation is evident in the increased number of women choosing careers in the industry? Once a bone of contention, now a ubiquitous element in our everyday HVAC world. Since their inception, Variable Frequency Drives have come a long way, in terms of price, size, and reliability. So far have they come, you wonder why all motor-driven equipment isn’t required to have one. In fact, we might not be so far off from that, and with so many reasons to equip a motor with a VFD, it may soon become the norm rather than the exception, even with equipment traditionally not thought of as ever needing one.
The Department of Water and Environmental Affairs has money aside to cope with water pollution and illegal dumping by paying rural women to help cleaning rivers and waterstreams.

Operations maintenance (O&M) of buildings and its supporting infrastructure encompasses all that broad spectrum of services required to assure the built environment will perform the functions for which a facility was designed and constructed. Operations and maintenance typically includes the day-to-day activities necessary for the building and its systems and equipment to perform their intended function. Operations and maintenance are combined into the common term O&M because a facility cannot operate at peak efficiency without being maintained.
