The company is calling on companies to co-operate in the design of a range of sports bags made of recycled PVC billboard skins.  With the initiative Carbon d’ Afreeque plans to help out the Let’s Play Foundation as well as kids being recruited as volunteers for the FIFA 2010 World Cup.

In his speech for the National Climate Change Conference, President Kgalema Motlanthe expressed hope the conference will draft a national framework which will lead the country becoming a low carbon economy. South Africa is currently the 14th country in the world when it comes to green house gas emission. Meanwhile, Google has launched a tool for its Google Earth programme that will show emission.
